After releasing a couple of singles since her long-awaited return, one of Japanese music’s biggest stars, Utada Hikaru, has announced in her own blog that she will be releasing her sixth and latest album on 28 September 2016.

Hikki 01

Hikki didn’t mention much detail except for the upcoming album’s title, and the price of the standard edition, which will be worth 3,000 yen. However, she did confirm that three of her singles, “Hanataba Wo Kimini”, “Manatsu No Tooriame”, and the Evangelion 3.0 theme song, “Sakura Nagashi”, will be included in that album. Aside from the three mentioned songs, it will also include new Utada Hikaru songs.

This will be her first full-length album in eight years, and also her first full one since announcing her hiatus in music back in 2010. More details about this upcoming album, such as the song list and other information, will be revealed in the future.

Now that’s certainly something to look forward to in September! Who else is excited?
