Blizzard has added a new character to Overwatch, and she is Ana Amari, the “Healing Sniper.” As we all know by now, the game’s Japanese version has a pretty stellar voice cast, and they chose one badass voice for this one badass granny.

Ana Amari’s Japanese version is someone who Gundam fans might be very familiar with, as she is voiced by none other than Yoshiko Sakakibara, who voiced Haman Karn in the Gundam franchise. She also voiced Chief Joshu Kasei from Psycho-Pass, and is known for voicing other older female characters. Yoshiko Sakakibaran is also one of the most respected veteran seiyuu in the industry.

As for Ana herself, she is the mother of Pharah, and like her daughter, she is also Egyptian. She is one of Overwatch’s founding members and is armed with a Biotic Rifle, which can heal allies from afar. At 61, she is one of the oldest characters in the game, together with Reinhardt, who she has worked with in the old glory days of the Overwatch, along with Soldier 76, Torbjörn, and Reaper.
