The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the science adventure game, Chaos;Child, has finally been updated. It was announced that the series will be aired in the winter 2017 anime season, which begins in January.
The website also revealed the anime’s cast, which will comprise of:
- Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Nono Kurusu
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Takuru Miyashiro
- Sumire Uesaka as Serika Onoe
The drama CD stars Risa Taneda (Beyond the Boundary’s Mira Kuriyama) as Mio Kunosato, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online’s Kirito) as Takuru Miyashiro, Sumire Uesaka (Kantai Collection’s Fubuki) as Serika Onoe, Sarah Emi Bridcutt (Kantai Collection’s Yuubari) as Nono Kurusu, Suzuko Mimori (Love Live!’s Umi Sonoda) as Hinae Arimura, Sayaka Nakaya (former AKB48 member-turned seiyuu) as Hana Kazuki, Yuuki Fujiwara (Reborn!’s Belphegor) as Shinji Itou, and Wakako Matsumoto/ Kujira (Gintama’s Otose) as Katsuko Momose. While it does not mean that the drama CD cast will all be retaining their roles for the anime, the three newly-announced cast members seem to tease that we might see the drama CD cast reunite for the TV anime.
The website also confirmed that Masato Jinbo will be handling both directorial duties and series composition over at Silver Link, which will be handling anime production. More details about the new TV anime will be revealed in the days to come, so stay tuned.
This new Chaos; Child anime will also be the fourth anime adaptation from the Science Adventure series following Chaos; Head, Steins; Gate, and Robotics; Notes.
