The dust has finally settled, and we finally have our winners, and congratulations to Indonesia’s Ryan Cyd and Frea Mai, whose team won the coveted Grand Prize during this year’s World Cosplay Summit 2016, held in Nagoya, Japan.
The Indonesian pair defeated 29 other cosplay teams en route to the 1st place finish, as they cosplayed Trinity Blood’s Cain Nightlord (Cyd) and Seth Nightlord (Mai). Their costumes have some pretty neat gimmicks, which really won over the judges.
Taking second place was Denmark’s Shinji and Tiny Cosplay, which cosplayed Perseus and Lavlan from the The Angel of Elhamburg manga series by Aki.
While the Danes took 2nd, the French pair of LucioleS and Fenié Sophie made France proud, as they took 3rd place by cosplaying as Love Live!’s Honoka and Eli.
