Recently, Japanese Football star Shinji Kagawa gave One Piece mangaka Eiichiro Oda a football jersey during the mangaka’s first TV appearance. Now, the renowned athlete has starred alongside One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy for a very special video promoting One Piece Film Gold.

The Japanese football ace is a part of Japan’s national team, and is also a player for the German team, Borussia Dortmund. The video also pays tribute to 19 years of One Piece.
Meanwhile, for One Piece Film Gold, the movie had the biggest premiere to date, and is currently Japan’s fastest grossing film so far this year. As of 31st July, the movie has earned 2,364,107,000 yen and sold 1,709,909 tickets on 743 screens since it premiered last 23rd July. International screenings for the movie have also been announced.
