The sword boys of DMM and Nitroplus’s popular online browser game are getting their own anime adaptation with Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru. To keep the fans excited, the folks behind the series have released a brand new PV which previews the two main characters, Yamatonokami Yasusada and Kashuu Kiyomitsu.

They also revealed a new key visual, which features three new characters, who were also introduced in the PV:

The TV anime will be set in the year 2205, where historical revisionists are attacking to change the course of history, and only the “Touken Danshi,” the strongest objects imbued with life, can stop them from their goals.

Produced by ufotable (Fate/Zero) and directed by Takashi Naoya (Luck & Logic), Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru will be premiering in October 2016. It will be based on the PC browser game by DMM and Nitroplus, which is another game along the lines of Kantai Collection, which features anthropomorphic ship girls. However, unlike KanColle, the series features anthropomorphic sword boys.
