An early look at the next issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has revealed that the lovable supernatural comedy anime, Kyoukai no Rinne, is getting itself a third season. The anime is based on the manga of the same title by legendary mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi, who is also behind such classics like Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, and InuYasha.

According to the announcement, Rinne, Sakura, and the rest of the gang will be returning for season 3 this spring 2017. Brain’s Base will once again be producing the animation, with a new visual is also being revealed.

Kyoukai no Rinne follows a young half-Shinegami named Rinne, as he tries to juggle exorcising wayward spirits, making money because he is constantly poor, and school, as well as his relationship to his human classmate, Sakura Mamiya.
