After more than half a decade, the Japanese music industry has been missing one of its brightest stars in Utada Hikaru. Now that Hikki is finally back from her hiatus, she is ready to show the world that she’s still got it, and is even planning to do a few TV appearances, her first in five years!

Her first TV appearance will be on a special program on NHK called “SONGS Special: Utada Hikaru” on 22nd September, which is followed by another TV special, this time on Fuji TV called “Love music Special Edition Utada Hikaru -liner notes~” on 30th September.  After that, she will be appearing on News Zero in October. News Zero is the same program which she is singing the theme song, “Manatsu no Toriame” for, and it served as one of her return singles.

Hikki’s last TV appearance was back in January 2011, where she appeared on the NHK documentary, Utada Hikaru ~Ima no Watashi~. The legendary singer is also releasing her return album, which is also her sixth album, 『Fantome』on 28th September. It will include 11 tracks, including her new post-hiatus singles, and “Sakura Nagashi,” which served as the theme song for Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
