Just back from their highly successful tour in the United States, the heavy metal idol group, Babymetal, is set to conquer the United States once again, this time in the form of a hybrid live-action and animated short form series, which will center on SU-METAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL.

The metal idols have captured the hearts of many in the US, including Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Rob Zombie, even rocking out with Judas Priest front man, Rob Halford and performing in the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. According to Warner Brothers, the new show will be:

The action-adventure will take viewers inside the magical world of heavy metal music as it comes under attack, and one lonely god, Kitsune, forms the warrior band BABYMETAL to save the day. In the series, SU-METAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL join together to ultimately redefine the genre. The series will also feature new live-action performances from the group, who will enter the animated world through a secret portal.

The show will be a production between Warner Bros.’ digital Studio Blue Ribbon Content and Amuse USA.
