Nintendo has revealed that there will be a brand new game in the monster Hunter franchise, and it is called Monster Hunter XX (read as “Double Cross”) through a live Monster Hunter streaming event. Here is the announcement video:

There will be two new styles being introduced in this new game, in addition to the Guild Style, Strike Style, Aerial Style, and Bushido style. The first new style is called the Brave Style, with the second one yet to be revealed. Another new addition is a new field called “Igunrei”, as well as a new “Ryúshikisen” base. There will be six main monsters, and they include the Gammoth, Astalos, Mizutsune, and Glavenus, as well as a Diablos variant, and a new main monster called Balfarc.

The game is slated for release on 18th March 2017, and will be available for the Nintendo 3DS. Those with a saved data from monster Hunter X can transfer it to this game, while those who have a saved game data for Monster Hunter Stories will be getting an in-game bonus.
