Definitely one of the most hyped shows this season is Hibike! Euphonium Season 2. The show features amazing music, Kyoto Animations detailed animation and of course, amazing voice acting. Gracing us plebeians at AFA Singapore this year is none other than the voice actress of main character Kumiko Omae, Tomoyo Kurosawa.

Hibike! Euphonium follows Kumiko and her friends: Kazuki, Sapphire and Reina as they participate in their school’s brass band. With all sorts of interesting character interactions, the show goes beyond your usual “cute girls dong cute stuff” cookie cutter template and explores several deeper themes such as pride, love and strained friendships. I’m sure the special Hibike! Euphonium stage at AFA will definitely give you a bigger picture of what the show is about, so go catch that stage!

Kurosawa Tomoyo, or Moyochi as affectionately called, is a seiyuu affliated with Mausu Promotoion and even though she is barely an adult at 20, she already has a plethora of experience under her belt. Having studied acting since she was 3, she has appeared in TV dramas and even performed as a member of Sound Horizon. To add even more than that, she is also a member of The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls as Miria Akagi which adds even more to her already large repertoire.

If you want to know more about her and you understand Japanese, you can tune in to A&G Next Breaks Five Stars where she is the host for Monday’s show. Minami Tanaka, who is also a guest at this year’s AFA, is in charge of Wednesday’s show so you can tune in if you are interested as well!

Another interesting note to add is that another AFA Guest, JAM Project were actually backup singers to one of the songs a band from her school’s light music club wrote. Imagine getting such a big group to do backup vocals to your singing!

To be able to see her live on stage will definitely be an experience of a life time if you are a fan of hers! If you aren’t a fan of her yet, I can bet with you seeing her face to face will definitely change that fact.
