After weeks of rumors, Pokemon GO is finally releasing the Gen 2 Pokemon from the Gold and Silver versions. The Pokemon official English website itself announced the news, which confirmed all those rumors going around.

The website confirmed that Gen-2 Pokemon like Pichu and Togepi can be found inside eggs. Players can find these eggs in PokeStops around the neighborhood, so better start hatching them. The Gold and Silver games originally introduced Pokemon eggs, and they have been part of the games ever since. This is fitting as players can mostly find the Gen-2 Pokemon from Gold and Silver in Pokemon eggs.

The website also announced a partnership with Starbucks and Sprint. Their stores get turned into PokeStops and gyms, and this is where the Gen-2 Pokemon. However, this would only apply in the United States.
