During the Jump Festa event, they announced that the Naruto spin-off manga featuring Boruto is getting itself an anime adaptation. Officially titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, the new anime will be making its premiere on April 2017. They also revealed the anime’s new key visual:

And it also seems like they have huge plans for the anime as Masashi Kishimoto has said. This is because during the stage event, the Naruto creator has said that he plans to make Boruto “even better than Naruto.”

They also revealed that the cast from the previous Boruto movie are also returning for the TV anime. The confirmed cast will include:

  • Yuko Sanpei as Boruto Uzumaki
  • Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada Uchiha
  • Ryuuichi Kijima as Mitsuki
  • Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll has released an English-subtitled PV via twitter.

The anime will be adapting Ukyou Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto’s naruto spin-off manga, which follows Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto and Hinata, and the next generation of ninjas.
