During the Anniversary of a Miracle – Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion event, a Code Geass sequel anime, as well as a compilation movie trilogy was officially announced. The video from the event has recently surfaced, and it features the announcement for the sequel.

The video starts out with a Zero actor, complete with a voice-over from Jun Fukuyama, thanking the audience. First, he announces the compilation trilogy and then announces Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection.

Goro Taniguchi confirmed that Lelouch Vi Britannia is indeed alive. He also said that he is not an alternate version or a clone, and is indeed Lelouch. However, they did not reveal whether the sequel anime will be a TV anime or a movie.
