The Tokyo Broadcasting System and Mainichi Broadcasting System have always shown anime every Sunday evening with their “Nichigo” anime block. However, the two networks seem to be cancelling that long-time anime time slot.

This is because both TBS and MBS are planning on a new 60-minute Saturday anime block to replace the 30-minute Sunday anime block. The new anime programming block is called “Anisata”, and it will be airing anime every Saturday morning. The two networks also announced that they will be launching Anisata beginning April 2017.

Previously launched back in April 2008,the Nichigo block featured several big-name anime, like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, The Seven Deadly Sins, Magi, and the 2nd season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. As for the new animation block, TBS and MBS will be airing it every 7:00 am JST. This new anime block looks back to their previous Saturday morning anime block in the 80’s. That programming block showed series like Super Dimension Fortress Macross and Warrior of Love Rainbow Man.

Now, what sort of new anime will this new Saturday morning programming block introduce?
