Brace yourselves ladies and gentlemen, because Naruto is getting a brand new stage musical with a new story. Titled “Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe”. The play has revealed several members of Akatsuki itself, along with the actors of Sasuke’s Hebi group in costume as well.

Akatsuki:

Takeshi Hayashino as Kisame Hoshigaki

Ryou Tsuji as Deidara

Hironori Katayama as Tobi

Hebi:

Keishi Hagio as Suigetsu Hoozuki

Kanon Nanaki as Karin

Tomoya Yamaguchi as Juugo

The returning main cast for this latest musical run includes:

  • Yui Itou as Sakura Haruno
  • Yuuki Kimisawa as Kakashi Hatake
  • Hiro Yuumi as Orochimaru

Koudai Matsuoka and Ryuuji Satou are also reprising their roles as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha respectively. Meanwhile, Shinji Rachi is joining the play for the very first time as Itachi. However, actor Ryousuke Okada is replacing Tatsunari Kimura as Kabuto Yakushi for the play. The website also announced the other new additions, and they include:

  • Rei Fujita as Yamato
  • Ryou Kitamura as Sai
  • Seshiru Daigo as Tsunade

The first stage play run also included stops in Macau, Malaysia, and right here in Singapore. Unlike the first two runs, the play will feature a different story, this time it would centre around Akatsuki. In other words, the play would now shift to the story of the early part of Naruto Shippuden.

The website has also revealed that this new play will begin its run starting May 2017. However, they still haven’t announced if they will be going on tour outside of Japan, just like when they visited Singapore for the first run.
