Nintendo may be a great game company, but they sure do have an odd naming sense. Remember when game creator Shiegru Miyamoto confirmed Mario’s full name is Mario Mario? Well, he’s at it again, this time confirming Link’s real name. In an interview with Game Informer, he and Breath of the Wild producer Eiji Aonuma talked about the game. However, Miyamoto also revealed Link’s full name.
According to Miyamoto, Link’s full name is Link Link. Well, at least it’s not Link Zelda, because they would totally dispel all those “He’s not Zelda” jokes. That may become a running gag throughout the company’s games. Who knows? Maybe the full name of Red from Pokemon is Red Red… or Kirby being Kirby Kirby.
Link Link (who is definitely NOT ZELDA) , has been a part of many childhoods. The feisty swordsman has been with many of us through many adventures, and learning his full name definitely sparks the interest in many people.

There’s one thing I think people missed out on: The video interview has confirmed that Breath of the Wild sets AFTER Ocarina of Time. This means it ain’t in the Unified Timelines but in either the Downfall, Adult or Child timelines.
As a Zelda fan, this is a HUGE deal as the multi-timeline concept has always been one of THE defining traits of the Zelda series.
Really? Link Link sounds like a Chinese girl name haha 😂
