Louis Vuitton has not been shy when it comes to geeky-yet-fashionable chic. The high fashion brand previously partnered with Hatsune Miku and Final Fantasy, and now, they’ve paid tribute to Ghost in the Shell. This is all part of French fashion designer and the current creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest fashion show.

It’s actually no secret that Ghesquière is a huge fan of Japanese media, previously giving nods to Sailor Moon and Evangelion. He opened the Louis Vuitton Fall Showcase to the theme song of 1995’s Ghost in the Shell. It also features an Asian model wearing what seems to be inspired by Major Motoko Kusanagi herself.

Ghesquière’s previous fashion shows also featured anime and video game-inspired clothing:

Louis Vuitton famously featured Final Fantasy’s Lightning modeling for them. However, before that, Louis Vuitton’s Marc Jacobs designed a dress for Hatsune Miku. This is all for her Vocaloid Opera titled “The End”, which premiered back in 2013.
