Good Smile Company has issued an official bootleg warning for fans of their Orange Range Touken Ranbu line. This comes after the company has discovered counterfeit versions of their Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika, Kogitsunemaru, and Kashuu Kiyomitsu being offered for sale online and at overseas shops.
The company has released a guide to help identify counterfeit products and protect customers from unwittingly purchasing these illegal copies. However this guide is not 100% foolproof, as some bootlegged toys are of better quality than others, and cannot be distinguished from genuine articles except by expert opinion.
The company also warns customers that they are not liable for claims and cannot offer customer support for bootlegged versions of their toys. Please see below for the complete guide. Constant Vigilance!
Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika
● Face: “Mouth”
The color of the outline of the mouth of the genuine article is brown, but the counterfeit product may be pink.
● Katana: “Sheath”
Genuine products are painted in gold, but counterfeit goods may not have paint.
● Support: “Tip”
Genuine parts can be removed from the tip, but counterfeit goods may not be removable.
Nendoroid Kashuu Kiyomitsu
● Face: “Mouth”
The color of the outline of the mouth is red in the genuine article, but the counterfeit goods may not have the outline.

Genuine parts can be removed from the tip, but counterfeit goods may not be removable.
Nendoroid Kogitsunemaru

Counterfeit goods may not have official logos and names.
● Katana: “Sheath”
Genuine products have white paint, but there may not be on counterfeit goods.
● Facial parts: “Neck Joint”
In the genuine article, the receiving part of the neck joint is a separate part, but in counterfeit goods it is fused with the head.
