RADWIMPS will be making their long awaited return to Singapore later this year! Almost 3 years to the day they last performed in Singapore, the band will be making their triumphant return to our sunny island.

First formed in 2001 by Yojiro Noda(Vocal, Guitar, Piano),  Akira Kuwahara(Guitar), Yusuke Takeda(Bass), and Satoshi Yamaguchi(Drums), the band released their self-titled album in 2003 under an indie label. The band then went on to make their major debut in 2005 with the single 25 Ko-me no Senshokutai.

In 2013, the band held their largest tour since their debut, which included four overseas stops,  with a total of 220,000 people in attendance. To mark their 10th anniversary the band went on their first European tour in 2015, as well as their second Asian tour. It was also the year that marked the end of activities for Satoshi Yamaguchi, as he had to halt his participation in band activities due to illness.

In 2016, RADWIMPS provided the sound track for the critically acclaimed Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name).

Earlier this year, the band embarked on their latest nationwide tour on the 25th of February, and are slated to perform at Nippon Budoukan on the 9th and 10th of May.

Here’s a small taste of what the band has to offer:
