GOSICK light novel series author Kazuki Sakuraba has announced on her blog today that illustrator and longtime GOSICK collaborator Hinata Takeda has passed away due to illness.
Takeda has been deceased since January of 217, however the announcement has only been made official today, 9th May 2017. Best known for her work in GOSICK, Takeda also worked on her own series La Croisée dans un labyrinthe étranger and Yaeka no Karute.
In her blog, Sakuraba talked about meeting Takeda through her editor, and that Takeda’s work made her want to create a novel that would live up to the art, but Takeda’s art easily surpassed her own writing.
