Megahobby EXPO 2017 was held this previous weekend at Akihabara UDX AKIBA_SQUARE, and there were plenty of big reveals from exhibitors such as Alter, Hobby Japan, and Megahouse. However some of the biggest announcements, as far as Yuri!!! On Ice fans are concerned, came from plamodel and scale figure pillar of craftsmanship Kotobukiya, who shared prototypes of their upcoming YOI products!
The first is an unpainted prototype of the upcoming ARTFX scale figure of Yuri!!! On Ice romantic lead Victor Nikiforov! Wearing one of his exquisite bespoke suits — five buttons on the cuff, Windsor knot, and peaked lapels, he is giving the viewer a cheeky smile behind a single finger to the lips. Accompanying Victor is an adorable mini Makkachin tissue case — the likes of which even skating superstar Johnny Weir are eager to get their hands on!
The next reveal are the samples of the soon to be released PitaNui series from Yuri!!! on Ice. Victor is once again lovingly rendered — albeit in plush form, and this time he is joined by his significant other and series lead Yuuri Katsuki, as well as his skating protege Yuri Plisetsky. Beautiful, hi-res photos were also shared on the official Kotobukiya Es blog — check them out below!
The Kotobukiya Yuri!!! On Ice PitaNui series is available now via the official Kotobukiya online store. Meanwhile, release details for the Victor Nikiforov ARTFX scale figure are not yet available as of today.
