Netflix is adapting Konami’s Castlevania game series into an animated series. Now, they’ve revealed a brand new trailer, which teases the story, as well as reveals its 7th July release.

Titled “Vengeance”, the teaser trailer tells of the last surviving member of the Belmont family, as he tries rid Eastern Europe of the menace of Dracula. Series producer, Adi Shankar, previously said that the animated series adapts the Castlevania III NES/Famicom game’s story. The producer even revealed that the series will be “R-18 as f***”. He also previously revealed its poster via Facebook:

Here’s how Netflix describes the series:

“The last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.”

And speaking on Netflix, they have now released their original anime movie, Blame. The movie adapts the manga by Tsutomu Nihei, who also created Knights of Sidonia.

“Inside a vast, self-replicating city bent on eliminating all life, mysterious loner Killy emerges to guide a remnant of humanity desperate to survive.”
