Kazuya Minekura’s Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST will start its broadcast run in Japan very soon — 5th July 2017 to be exact, and there’s a whole slew of announcements in anticipation of the new series!

First up is a special collaboration with Ikebukuri Marui, where a pop-up shop will be featuring limited edition items from 10th June to 22nd June 2017. These items will be featuring a new illustration, showing the four leads Genjo Sanzo, Son Goku, Sha Gojyo, Cho Hakkai in modern-day suits.

Another event is an Animate Fair held at all Animate stores all over Japan to celebrate the broadcast of the new series. Every purchase of Saiyuki CDs, BDs, and DVDs over JPY 1,000 will earn you a free postcard of a random design. These postcards feature the four main characters in their current forms as well as their previous lives.

Last but not least, LUCKLIFE has announced the release of of their new single “REFRAIN” — the track is set to be the ending theme of Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST. The new single is slated for a 23rd August release, and will feature three songs: “REFRAIN”, “Sonzai Shoumei”, and “sweet my life”.
