Being the first anime series to air in Adult Swim in the United States, Cowboy Bebop is responsible for making many Americans fall in love with Japanese anime. It received much critical acclaim in the North American continent as well. Now, Variety has reported that the anime is also getting its own live-action TV series adaptation.

According to Variety, Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and Marty Adelstein, will be producing the TV series. They also listed Midnight Radio, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Matthew Weinberg as the executive producers. Aside from the above-mentioned names, they also listed Sunset Inc., the producers of the original TV anime, as executive producers.

The anime received much commercial and critical success not only in Japan, but also abroad. It also gave much recognition to seiyuu Kouichi Yamadera, who voiced Spike Speigel. Variety didn’t reveal much about the live-action TV series, so expect more announcements soon.
