Thailand, be prepared to “raise your flags”, because Toru Furuya ain’t the only Gundam protagonist coming to Bangkok. This is because Kengo Kawanishi is also coming to Thailand this weekend! Voicing Mikazuki Augus in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, this Osaka native will be appearing live during the anime’s stage presentation during C3 Anime Festival Asia Bangkok 2017. Don’t worry, because you don’t need the might of the Tekkadan to seem him.

He started out with a few small roles in various anime, but gained much recognition as he voiced a Gundam protagonist in Mikazuki. His other most important role is as Rei Kiriyama in March Comes in Like a Lion. He also voiced Terunosuke Miyamoto in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, and Akira Kagetsuki in Monster Strike.

Kawanishi also voices characters in video games as well. He voiced Aoi Shima and Arata Samejima in Prince of Stride, much like he did for the game’s TV anime adaptation. He also voiced Prince Siegbert in Fire Emblem Fates, as well as reprising his role as Mikazuki in various Gundam games.

Born 18th February 1985, Kengo Kawanishi hails from Osaka Prefecture. Aside from voice acting, he’s also doing a bit of singing and dancing as well. He’s also a bit of a gamer himself, as he himself has admitted he loves games.

During the Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans presentation, he will appear alongside co-star Tasuaki Takumi, who voiced Altland in the anime. The anime’s director, Tatsuyuki Nagai, will also be making an appearance. The Iron-Blooded Orphans stage presentation will take place on Sunday, at 2:30 pm. And much like fellow-Gundam protagonist, Toru Furuya, you can also ask him a question. You can send your questions here:  Fan Questions

The event will happen at the Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand from 10th -11th June. You can now book your tickets here: TICKETMELON
