Game developer Level 5 — best known for titles such as Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven, will be releasing its first ever “otome” game for the iOS and Android mobile operating systems! Entitled “Otome Yusha“, the app will be sporting designs by Chinatsu Kurahana, character designer for Uta no Prince-sama, and former character designer of famed BL game developer Nitro+chiral.

The game’s cast sounds like a who’s who of the male seiyuu world, including the likes of Yuuichi Nakamura, Junichi Suwabe, Hikaru Midorikawa, Takahiro Sakurai, Ryōhei Kimura, Tomokazu Sugita, Kenshou Ono, Natsuki Hanae, Kousuke Toriumi, Miki Shinichiro, Nobuhiko Okamoto, and Kazuhiko Inoue — from a starting line-up of 24 characters, that is a LOT of hotties to choose from!

One portion of the main game is a sidescroller where you form teams of four fighters, and direct them to engage enemies with a simple tap. Your team members become stronger with the EXP earned from defeating enemies, or by equipping special Spirit Cards that enhance their abilities. As your fighters take hits from their foes however, it is reflected in their damaged clothing and appearance.

And of course, as par for the course for otome games, the other portion of the main game involves developing a personal relationship with one or all of the male characters. Part of it is “skinship” or creating intimacy through touch, which takes advantage of smartphones’ touchscreens to add an additional layer of authenticity.

Otome Yusha won’t be out until summer 2017 in Japan, so while you wait you can feast your eyes on the gallery below!
