Originally a Japanese light novel series written by Ryo Mizuno and illustrated by Miyuu, Record of Grancrest War tells the story of the knight Theon and the magician Shiruka in their quest for the Grancrest — a relic that is rumoured to bring back peace to their embattled homeland.
