The cast and staff of the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film were present during a special live-streaming event by Cinema Today. They streamed the program globally, and even provided English voice-over, as well as subtitles. Around the 42:48 mark of the video, they also featured a brand new trailer, which teases Kaneki’s ghoul transformation.

The streaming program also revealed that RADWIMPS member and songwriter, Youjirou Noda, wrote and performed the film’s theme song, Banka. This is the RADWIMPS guitarist’s solo project.

By now, it should be no secret that Tokyo Ghoul will be heading outside of Japan. They even revealed a new international poster featuring actor Masataka Kubota as Ken Kaneki. It also comes with the English tagline, “Humans are no longer at the top of the food chain”.

Now, compare it to the Japanese visual, which features both sides of Ken Kaneki:

Kentarou Hagiwara is directing the film, which has now finished principal screening. The film is based on Sui Ishida’s bestselling horror manga of the same name. It follows Ken Kaneki, a boy who meets a beautiful girl, who turns out to be a man-eating ghoul. However, they meet an accident as she tries to eat him, and now, he suddenly becomes a half-human, half-ghoul hybrid. Now, Ken Kaneki faces two worlds which are at war with each other.
