It’s been 18 years since the original Card Captor Sakura, and now the long wait for fans is over as the new Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card is slated for broadcast in January 2018! To hype up the fans even more, a prologue clip has been released online for fans, as well as screened in North Amerca’s largest anime convention Anime Expo.

Captor Sakura: Clear Card was released in June 2016 as part of Captor Sakura’s 20th Anniversary, and features the return of the full cast from the original series. Sakura and her friends are now middle school students, with Eriol having returned home to England, and Syaoran also set to return to Hong Kong having confessed his love to Sakura.

On top of all that, the Clow Cards have mysteriously lost their powers, and dark new force is lurking around the corner. What’s in store for Sakura?! Check out the full prologue video and production stills below!
