Slated for the 18th to the 20th of August 2017 at the JIEXPO, C3 AFA Jakarta 2017 is bringing the best in anime, cosplay, and anisong to Indonesia! For the 2017 edition of the I Love Anisong concert, there’s a bit a rock, bit of pop, and a whole lot of fun — just like the next artiste on our profile series, the one and only Konomi Suzuki!

Konomi Suzuki is only 20 years old, but she’s already a five-year veteran on the anisong scene. She received first prize at the All Japan Anime Song Grand Prix, and made her debut with the song “CHOIR JAIL”. Since then, she made four consecutive appearances at the biggest anime-song festival in Japan, ‘Animelo Summer Live’.

She also sang various TV animation main theme songs, and sang “This game”, opening theme song of TV anime No-Game, No-Life, and “Redo”, opening theme song of TV anime Re:Zero. She will be releasing 3 more songs in 2017 — we’re already looking forward to that very much!

Last year, Konomi performed at Anime Festival Asia Singapore’s I Love Anisong concert, where WOW Japan managed to interview her. During the interview, she confessed that as a little girl, she was very shy. So to build up her confidence, Konomi’s mother sent her to singing and dancing lessons.

It’s such a far cry from the confident and outgoing young lady we see today! Her performance in Singapore was electrifying and full of life — all the concert goers screamed and jumped and sang along to Konomi’s songs! We hope that her fans in Indonesia give her the same warm welcome as she performs in Jakarta this year!
