Sanrio has revealed their latest mascot character… and yes, he’s pretty tiny too! In a special collaboration with Fullmetal Alchemist, Sanrio has revealed their new Edward Elric mascot character. And just when you think Edward couldn’t get even smaller, huh? He also comes with a cat… perhaps one of those cats that Alphonse befriends.

And this is actually a pretty serious collaboration, as Sanrio even launched its own Fullmetal Alchemist twitter page. This collaboration will feature Ed and the cat in various Sanrio merchandise. These would include various apparel, as well as stationery. They will reveal these merchandise, as well as more details on the collaboration, in the days ahead.

Sanrio will be launching these goodies sometime in fall 2017, just before the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film premieres. The film, which stars Ryousuke Yamada as Edward Elric, will be making its Japanese premiere on 1st December.
