Sailor Moon Crystal is back, but this time, as an anime movie, so better prepare your Moon Pride! The official Sailor Moon franchise website has revealed that the 4th installation (actually the third but they call it 4th) of Crystal will be a 2-part anime movie. This is all to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Naoko Takeuchi’s beloved magical girl manga.

The website revealed that the two films will be adapting the manga’s Dead Moon arc. They also revealed that Chiaki Kon will be returning to direct the two films. She previously directed Sailor Moon Crystal’s third season, which of course is actually the anime’s second season.

The anime’s staff first made the announcement during Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon’s birthday event last weekend. They will reveal more details about these two films in the days to come, so stay tuned.
