Saki Ono’s first lead character was the titular Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan. She also gained a following as the cute and sassy cat Nyaossi in the Funassyi no Funafunafuna Biyori anime. She came to the fore with her character Raccoon frome the Kemono Friends anime; she has also reprised her role in the Kemono Friends stage play.

Kemono Friends is a really interesting phenomenon: nobody — not even the staff nor the cast, can explain why it’s such a big hit! However, the show and the voice actresses such as Saki are doing such a great job using their popularity to raise awareness for and increase public interest in zoos and animal care programs in Japan!
