C3 AFA Tokyo 2017 is slated for this weekend — the 26th and the 27th of August 2017, at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture! C3 AFA Tokyo 2017 is Japan’s biggest character and hobby event, featuring an exciting list of featured anime, a stellar line-up of seiyuu and industry guests, as well as an extensive exhibition hall dubbed “C3 Market”.

Anime Pilgrimage (Seichi Junrei)

Voted by anime fans around the world, this segment will reveal the 2018 list of the “Top 88 Locations Japanese Anime Fans Like to Visit Most”; featuring appearances by Yoshiyuki Tomino (best known for creating the Gundam anime franchise), Shinichirou Inoue (CEO of Kadokawa Shoten) and more!

Gundam Special Stage

With the new season of Gundam Build Fighter series currently underway, and the Gundam Origin: Clash at Loum opening in theatres by 2nd September 2017, this segment not to be missed for Gundam fans! Featuring appearances by Tomoaki Maeno, and more!

In Another World With My Smartphone Talk Show and Mini Concert

A well-received novel-turned anime series, they will have a small segment on the main stage! With the full main cast reuniting on stage, be sure to check it out at C3AFA Tokyo! 「GUNDAM VERSUS」 team battle tournament final in C3AFA TOKYO 2017

It’s the official PlayStation®4「GUNDAM VERSUS」tourney! With 8 teams out of 16 remaining in the finals, this tournament will take over the stage to crown the ultimate winner. Moreover, fans can expect some first-hand news of the franchise to to be revealed only in the event. Featuring appearances by Kengo Kawanishi and Daisuke Sakaguchi!

C3 AFA Tokyo 2017 is organized by the C3 AFA Tokyo 2017 Committee, with the special support of Hobby Japan, co-sponsored by the local government of Chiba Prefecture and Chiba City, the Japan Merchandising Rights Association, and the Japan Toy Culture Foundation, sponsored by CoCo Ichibanya and Kao (SUCCESS), and in partnership with Culture Entertainment.

With Character, Culture and Content as its focus, organiser Sotsu first launched C3 in the year 2000. Its strength lies in the great quality character goods and manufacturers exhibiting at the event. One of the biggest highlights — “C3 Market”, is where visitors are able to get in hands with exclusive and limited edition merchandises only in the event. In 2009, the event began its East-Asia expansion to Hong Kong, reaching Beijing in 2016.
