The little sister hi-jinx from Himouto Umaru-chan returns for a second season with Himouto! Umaru-chan R. Now, the anime’s official website has updated, and it reveals a brand new key visual for the series. It also unveiled a brand new key visual featuring Umaru, her brother, and her wacky friends. Oh, and Umaru’s two hamsters are also there as well.
The website also confirms that Masahiko Ohta is returning as the head director, with Takaharu Ookuma returning as assistant director. Aya Takano is also returning as the anime’s character designer. This new season will premiere sometime in October 2017, and it also has Tokyo MX airing it in Japan.
As for Umaru, Aimi Tanaka will also be returning to reprise her role as the lovable Himouto. She’s even appearing in Comiket 92 this Sunday to say hi to the fans, as well as promote the series. Fans can find her over at the Abema TV booth, where hopefully, she’s also wearing “that thing that Umaru wears at home”.
