Because of health problems, seiyuu Risa Taneda recently went on a temporary hiatus. This of course forced her to cancel many of her roles, with other seiyuu taking over those roles. Now, it seems that she is recovering, and her agency, Office Osawa, revealed that she is about to return to work.

The website also apologised to fans, concerned parties and organizations for all the trouble the hiatus has caused. This includes all those cancelled appearances, as well as the roles she was supposed to take. Other seiyuu such as Nana Mizuki, Rie Takahashi, and Inori Minase, all filled in for her roles during the hiatus.

And speaking of her roles, the official Shokugeki no Soma website has revealed that she will NOT be reprising her role as Erina Nakiri for the third season. Of course, another seiyuu, Hisako Kanemoto, took over the role when she went on hiatus.

Her health problems actually involve her throat, which of course important to a seiyuu. However, there’s still no time period for her return.

Risa Taneda is best known for her roles as Yukina Himeragi in Strike the Blood, Rize Tedeza in Is the Order a Rabbit?, and Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April.
