Because of several throat problems, seiyuu Yoshimasa Hosoya had to go under treatment. And because of this, the seiyuu had to go on a 4-month hiatus. But during the Tensai Gunshi radio show, the seiyuu revealed that he’s going back to work soon. His appearance on the radio show itself surprised a lot of fans, who didn’t expect him to announce his return.

Hosoya co-hosts Tensai Gunshi alongside fellow-seiyuu, Hiroki Yasumoto. However, he hasn’t really appeared in the program during his hiatus to rest those vocal chords. This is why the listeners didn’t see him coming. Hosoya previously promised that he would come back before the year ends, and thankfully, he seems to be keeping that promise.

The seiyuu previously voiced Otabek Altin in Yuri!!! on Ice, as well as Koujo Akatsuki in Strike the Blood. He is currently voicing Reiner Braun in Attack on Titan season 2, as well as Fumikage Tokoyami from My Hero Academia season 2. During his hiatus, other seiyuu also wished him well during his treatment.
