There’s only one place for Indonesian anime, cosplay, and anisong fans this August — and that’s C3 AFA Jakarta 2017! Scheduled for the 18th to the 20th of August 2017 at the JIEXPO, the event will also feature the annual I Love Anisong concert!

This year’s concert features one of the most beloved anisong songstresses in recent years — the one and only Luna Haruna! In between her many collaboration projects and extensive touring schedule, she managed to find the time to answer a few questions from WOW Japan, and we are extremely honoured to share them with you.

You have been to Indonesia before. What are you looking forward to with your return?

The last time I was in Indonesia, I had nasi goreng which was very delicious, and I want to eat that again. I always want to try meals that are very different from what we have in Japan.

Compared to other Japanese singers, you are very adventurous and perform a lot in other countries. Is there a difference between your fans overseas and your fans back in Japan?

I don’t think they are different at all. Whatever country I visit, the love for anime and anisong doesn’t change, and it makes me happy every day.

Who is your biggest musical inspiration and why?

A lot of people are inspired by animation, rather than being inspired by a single individual. I am inspired by the dialogue, the situations, and the soundtracks of the shows I have seen since I was a child. This also include the titles where I have done the opening and the ending themes. I draw a lot of power from many animation titles.

Tell us something interesting about yourself – for example, when you are sad how do you cheer yourself up?

On days off, I will anime, play games, or go to Akihabara or Ikebukuro to buy anime goods. When I feel a little down, just watch some anime, have a good night’s sleep, and you’ll feel much better soon!
