After tentatively calling itself Mazinger Z the Movie, the anime film’s staff has now revealed its official title. Now, its official title is Gekijouban Mazinger Z/Infinity, or Mazinger Z The Movie/Infinity. And not only that, but the staff also unveiled a brand new trailer, which shows the legendary super robot in action.

Aside from the new footage, the video also takes fans on a nostalgia trip, as it introduces Ichiro Mizuki’s new version of the original anime’s theme song. The film celebrates the 45th anniversary of legendary mangaka, Go Nagai’s classic Mazinger Z manga, as well as the TV series. It will be making its Japanese premiere this 13 January 2018 and will also have international screenings as well.

The film previously revealed that Showtaro Morikubo and Ai Kayano will be voicing the two leads, Koji Kabuto and Sayaka Yumi respectively. It also stars

Junji Shimizu will be directing the film over at Toei Animation, while Takayuki Yanase is responsible for the mechanical design. Meanwhile, Hiroya Iijima will be the character designer, while Takahiro Ozawa writes the screenplay.
