After quite a long career working on anime, veteran seiyuu Toshihiko Nakajima has passed away in a Tokyo hospital. The family never revealed his cause of death, but many have known he’s been suffering from illness for quite some time. He was 55.

His most prominent roles include Transformers: Cybertron’s Land Barret and ToHeart – Remember my memories’ Gengorou Nagase. Nakajima also voiced Kojiro Murdoch in Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny, as well as Haruhiko Yagi in Hajime no Ippo.

Aside from his voice acting, he also serves as the sound director for many anime, including Infinite Stratos. His other Sound directing works include Inazuma Eleven GO, as well as Marvel’s Blade and X-Men anime. Nakajima also appeared in several stage musicals, including Sakura Wars Kayou Show.
