During the “‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ Reading & Live Event Orchestra ‘Attack Oto Taikan 2’” event, the anime’s staff made several announcements. Of course, this includes the new key visual image for the upcoming Attack on Titan Season 3. It features a tied-up Eren, as well as Levi and a new character named Kenny.

During the event, the staff also revealed that Attack on Titan Season 3 will premiere sometime in July 2018. This would be unlike the two previous Attack on Titan seasons, as both of them had April premieres. They also revealed that much of the staff and cast will be returning for the third season.

Meanwhile, the staff also revealed the new compilation film, Attack on Titan: The Roar of Awakening. This would act as the third compilation film for the series, and it looks back at the events of Season 2. They then teased the fans by releasing a new trailer for the film:

The Roar of Awakening premieres in Japan on January 13, 2017.
