Disney has had a very special relationship with the Japanese people. From Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea, to the Kingdom Hearts games, the Japanese definitely love their characters. An artist from China, STARshadowmagic, recently tried to reimagine the Disney Princesses in a Japanese setting. The artist gave them an anime-style makeover, and made them wear kimonos:

OK, so maybe not all of them aren’t actually Disney Princesses like Alice and Tinkerbell, but why not? Oh, and Elsa from the Anime of the Year-winning Frozen is a QUEEN, therefore she’s not a princess anymore.

The Chinese artist’s artworks definitely look beautiful, and the Japanese vibe makes it all the better. You can also check out the artist’s Twitter and Pixiv pages for more amazing illustrations.
