Japanese broadcaster, NHK, has opened a brand new official website, and it reveals Kyoto Animation’s next animation project. The website reveals that KyoAni will be adapting Kotoko Ayano’s award-winning novel, Tsurune, into a TV anime. The novel won the Special Judge Prize for last year’s 7th Kyoto Animation Awards.

NHK also confirmed that the anime will be making its premiere sometime in 2018. However, they didn’t reveal much details as to exactly when this new sports anime will air.

Tsurune will follow archer Minato Narumiya, who ran away from the sport of Japanese Archery after a certain incident. However, he finds new friends and makes his return to the sport. Now, he and his friends at his school’s archery club find the determination to win their prefectural Japanese Archery tournament.
