Bullying is a huge problem worldwide, and the same is also true for Japan. The country has a huge bullying problem, and it’s so big that its Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is doing campaigns to prevent it. Now, MEXT has found a huge ally in the hit anime series, March Comes in Like a Lion.

The collaboration’s initiative is to fight bullying across Japan, and would include distributing 18,000 posters across the country. The ministry will be distributing these posters to middle schools, compulsory education schools, high schools, secondary education schools, and technical colleges throughout the country. The poster features Hinata trying to help a young and bullied Rei. It features the tagline “I’ll be your friend through it all”, as well as MEXT’s anti-bullying hotline. This number will have a 24-hour service to aid bullied youths across Japan.

MEXT will also be launching a new collaboration website on 16th October, and the anime’s seiyuu are helping out! Rei’s seiyuu, Kengo Kawanishi, and Hinata’s seiyuu, Kana Hanazawa, will be providing full interviews for the website. Female professional shogi player Eriko Yamaguchi will also be talking about bullying for the site as well.

As for the new anime, March Comes in Like a Lion Season 2 premieres this 14th October.
