Seiyuu Risa Taneda went on hiatus last year after falling into an unspecified illness. Because of this, the seiyuu missed a lot of work while she underwent throat treatment. But now, it seems she’s slowly recovering and slowly going back to work.

Taneda’s agency, Office Ozawa, recently announced via their official website that she has recovered from medical treatment. They also revealed that she will now gradually resume her voice acting work. However, they didn’t reveal any specifics about this return yet.

Other seiyuu such as Nana Mizuki, Rie Takahashi, and Inori Minase, all filled in for her roles during the hiatus. In fact, she’s not the one voicing Erina Nakiri in this new season of Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma. Another seiyuu, Hisako Kanemoto, took over the role when she went on hiatus.

Risa Taneda is best known for her roles as Yukina Himeragi in Strike the Blood, Rize Tedeza in Is the Order a Rabbit?, and Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April. With her return slowly coming into view, fans can finally rest easy that she’s a-ok.
