In Japan, seiyuu have to be the total package. They don’t just have to do voice acting, but to sing as well. Japanese TV program, Count Down TV, recently shined the spotlight on these seiyuu singers for their latest episode. The program asked their viewers to vote for their favorite seiyuu singers and then revealed the results on air. Here’s how the voting went:

Male Seiyuu:

  1. Mamoru Miyano
  2. Shouta Aoi
  3. Hiroshi Kamiya
  4. Tetsuya Kakihara
  5. Nobuhiko Okamoto
  6. Hiro Shimono
  7. Souma Saitoi
  8. Miyu Irino
  9. Daisuke Ono
  10. Kenichi Suzumura

Female Seiyuu:

  1. Yukari Tamura
  2. Yoshino Nanjou
  3. Nana Mizuki
  4. Inori Minase
  5. Suzuko Mimori
  6. Maaya Uchida
  7. Yui Ogura
  8. Aya Uchida
  9. Rie Murakawa
  10. Megumi Hayashibara

Though the poll included more than 10 seiyuu for each gender, they only revealed the Top 10 for each. As for the winners, Mamoru Miyano performed several anisongs himself, including ones for UtaPei and Free!. As for Yukari Tamura, the seiyuu also performed anisongs for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Galaxy Angel. Several seiyuu in the list, including the winners, have also released their own music singles or albums.
