Popular Japanese artiste Suga Shikao will be holding his 20th Anniversary Special ”Suga Shikao Asia Circuit 2017” in Singapore! Don’t miss Suga Shikao on 8 December 2017 at Zepp@Bigbox Singapore! As an artiste and musician, he has had many exciting collaborations with fellow Japanese pop culture superstars. Here’s just five of them — which makes them five really good reasons to watch Suga Shikao Asia Circuit 2017 in Singapore!

SMAP and KAT-TUN

Suga Shikao wrote the lyrics to Yozora no Mukō which was sung by Japanese supergroup SMAP, as well as SMAP’s juniors’ KAT-TUN’s Real Face. Both songs quickly made it to the top of the Japanese ORICON charts, and sold well over one million units — cementing Suga Shikao’s reputation as a creator and musician.

CLAMP

Suga Shikao has had a number of big collaborations with the world-famous creators’ group, such as providing the end themes of their hit TV anime “xxxHOLiC”. CLAMP has also collaborated with Suga Shikao for the music video of his single “Anayuru”, which features the characters from “xxxHOLiC”. “Sofa” was the song used in xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki, and “Aitai” was the opening theme of the xxxHOLiC drama.

Honey and Clover

Honey and Clover included songs from his album “Clover”, like Hachigatsu no Serenade, Tsuki to Knife and Yubikiri. “Clover” was Suga Shikao’s first album – comprised of all-original songs, made it to the Top 10 of the ORICON charts.

March Comes in Like a Lion

Suga Shikao was involved in the poster campaign for Chica Umino’s seinen manga series, March Comes in Like a Lion. His song “Kizashi” was used in the commercial ad for the manga, and has even appeared in it, as requested by Chica Umino herself.

Haruki Murakami

Suga Shikao loves writer Haruki Murakami’s books, and the writer is a mutual admirer having loved Suga’s music, to the degree to have included by name the songriter’s song “Bakudan Juice” in his novel “After Dark”. So if you love Haruki Murakami’s novels, see another dimension to his work with Suga Shiako’s music!
