Before Lelouch returns in a brand new anime titled “Lelouch of the Resurrection,” Code Geass gets a compilation film trilogy. The first film already made its premiere last October, and now, the staff have revealed new details on the second film. Titled Code Geass – Hangyaku no Lelouch – Handou, the staff revealed the film’s new key visual:

“Yuukyou Seishunka” by Ali Project served as the original TV anime’s original ED song. Now, that same song will take fans back to the original as the 2nd film’s OP theme song. Meanwhile, Sakura Fujiwara’s “The Moon” will also be serving as a theme song for the new anime film. Finally, Yuka Aisaka will be performing the film’s insert song, “Ima wa Koko ni”.

As for the film itself, it will open in Japanese theatres starting 10th February. Meanwhile, the third film, Code Geass – Hangyaku no Lelouch – Oodou, will premiere sometime in May 2018. All three films will recap all 50 episodes of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion TV anime. The original cast will all reprise their roles, and will also re-record their lines for the films. The staff are also adding new scenes for all three movies. However, they still didn’t reveal much about the upcoming “Lelouch of the Resurrection” anime. Looks like we have to wait a bit more, huh? But we do know that Lelouch is alive and will return.
