The Junji Ito Collection anime promises to bring in a ton of scares this January. Now, the anime’s staff have revealed new details about its release. According to their announcement, the series will have a total of 12 TV anime episodes, as well as 2 OVA episodes.

The staff also revealed that the anime will release a total of three Blu-ray and DVD box sets. Each box set includes four episodes, with Volumes 2 and 3 containing one OVA episode. The first set will get its release on 30th March while the second set will hit the shelves on 27th April. Finally, the third set will become available on 25th May. As for the TV anime, it will premiere on 5th January 2018.

And while they haven’t revealed which Junji Ito manga gets included in the TV anime, they did reveal which manga gets an adaptation in the OVA. According to the announcement, Tomie, one of Junji Ito’s most notable works, will be the one to get the OVA adaptation.
